Calendars and diaries are unusual business promotion products because, at the time of ordering, they don't seem to be of particular importance in your day to day work schedule. You genuinely want to sit down and analyse the quantity of products to order and trawl through the choices available but somehow, the day slips beyond you and you put off your allotted calendar and diary study time. It seems like a simple enough job, you think to yourself, so no matter, there's plenty of time left to order the calendars and diaries in time for a Christmas delivery.
Fast forward to November, there's Christmas decorations gleaming at you in every shopping mall, you are already receiving your corporate gifts from your business associates and you think, "Hang on...I ordered those calendars didn't I?"
No, you didn't.
You frantically call us up and ask if there is any chance you can order some calendars in time for Christmas. While nothing would make us happier than seeing your delight at giving your stakeholders a fabulous Christmas gift, I'm sorry but we can't do this at such a late stage of the year. At Olympia, we print off shore and as a result, we need time to produce the high quality business promotion products you have come to know and love over the years.
At the end of the year, the calendars and diaries you pondered over ordering earlier suddenly become a whole lot more interesting and necessary for your business. When you start receiving gifts from your contacts, it is evident that you need to give them something in return. And if you've forgotten to order your calendars and diaries, chances are you are going to give your associates yet another bottle of wine that's going to be demolished at their work Christmas party and never thought of again.
After you have delivered the expensive yet entirely disposable bottle of wine, you start to think that maybe next year you will try to organise a calendar and diary order early. Maybe it's advantageous to give a Christmas gift that is useful, practical and advertises your business every day of the year...
Olympia's team are the Australian calendar and diary specialists and will deliver high quality products to your business every year.

The C Word
Cancer.
It's a horrible disease that unfortunately, many Australians are all too familiar with. Most of us have experienced it ourselves or have witnessed a family member or a dear friend go through the trials and tribulations involved with this terrible disease.
The Lions Cancer Institute has contributed to the research funding for PhD students in their studies on cancer since 1990. Their work assisting in the fight against cancer has seen them travel all over the state of Western Australia, providing free skin cancer clinic services to regional WA communities.
Part proceeds from all Olympia calendars sold are donated to The Lions Cancer Institute. When you purchase a business promotion calendar from Olympia, you are not only purchasing a creative and useful marketing tool, you are also helping your community by donating towards cancer research.
Every business who orders Olympia calendars is awarded a "Certificate of Appreciation" to be displayed in your office, as a thank you for your generosity and an acknowledgement of your contribution to the cancer community.
To find out more information on The Lions Cancer Institute, please check out their website.

Advertising = Expensive....Or Does it?
Advertising. That word can either bring out the creative side in business owners or send them running for the hills.
The problem with advertising is the expensive it incurs. Our businesses may be doing quite well but it doesn't necessarily mean that we have a spare few hundred thousand dollars waiting to be spent on one television advertisement. Especially when that advertisement might not be a success and make us no money whatsoever.
To try and get inside the mind of today's professionals who face advertising dilemmas, I thought I'd have a quick look at the average price of advertising on Australian television. It wasn't pretty. One company offered to make things easier for customers by doing all the hard work for the client and charging them a one off price. I thought that sounded like a reasonable offer, considering the client barely has to do any of the leg work and just say yay or nay. Yay wouldn't exactly be the choice word I would use in this situation, as the basic starter pack costs a whopping $75, 000. And apparently a "standard" pack is $150,000. My goodness. I do believe, however, that for those companies who can afford to dish out the dollars, TV advertising is the way to go. If you got it, flaunt it right?
For those companies who are not in this tier of big spenders, there are other options out there that may not be as glamorous as a television commercial, but they will give you value for the money that you pay for. And unless you're planning on supplying a small town with your advertisement, it won't cost you $75,000.
Our calendars at Olympia are attractive, informative and promote your company name every day of the year. They are certainly more affordable than television ads and make a practical and useful gift for your clients and staff members, thus enhancing your professional relationships with key stakeholders.
Olympia donates part proceeds from every calendar that we sell to The Lion's Cancer Institute, to help fund their cancer research. All our customers who order calendars receive a "Certificate of Appreciation" in acknowledgement of their support. Buying Olympia's calendars ensures your business name is promoted and that you are supporting a worthy cause.

Stakeholder Relations - How Olympia Can Help
While the technological world we live in is enthralling and interesting, it can also be exhausting and chaotic. The business professional of today has to check everything. There are notifications on Facebook, updates on Twitter, summaries of network changes on LinkedIn, emails to reply to, phone calls to answer, faxes to attend to and couriers to sign for. Not to mention our mobiles seem to be ringing, bleeping and buzzing constantly. When we occasionally take the liberty of enjoying our full lunch hour we have to endure an inbox full of "please call back" emails eagerly awaiting our return to our desks.
When we come home from work, we have to spend time with our wives, husbands, children, pets, parents and second cousins twice removed. It makes you really envy your parents and grandparents doesn't it? Back in the 70's all they had to do was read a few newspapers, answer phone calls and watch the evening news to keep up to date with the world. Not the case today. We barely finish reading an article online when our RSS feeds go haywire with an update on the same story we were just reading.
Yes, today's business professional lives in a world abuzz with communication. It seems as though the more advanced the communication technology, the more important the need to maintain stakeholder relationships. Taking each client out for lunch, spending copious amounts of time on the phone to customers and mailing endless marketing material seems like a nice way to maintain business relationships, but unfortunately there are only 24 hours in a day. By the time we'd be finished parading around with our contacts we wouldn't have actually done any work at all by the end of the working day.
According to Linked In, relationships matter. I completely agree. Maintaining relationships, both professional and personal, are vital for our companies to succeed and for our family lives to remain happy and whole.
Olympia's promotional products won't book appointments for you and post your company's newsletters (that's for your PA) but we can help promote your business every day of the year and give your clients something to smile about every Christmas. It's pretty easy -
Olympia's promotional products won't book appointments for you and post your company's newsletters (that's for your PA) but we can help promote your business every day of the year and give your clients something to smile about every Christmas. It's pretty easy -
- Order your promotional diaries and calendars
- Distribute them amongst staff and clients in time for Christmas or in early January as presents
You've just given out a nice calendar or diary as a gift, made somebody smile and because of this, your business will be promoted every day of the forthcoming year. Our prices are competitive and are great value for money compared to other advertising mediums - try adding up the costs of a television ad every day of the year and you'll see what I mean.
